About Nechako Digital
Nechako Digital is a small software studio based in Prince George, British Columbia — named for the Nechako River that runs through the city, and built at 54° north.
We build websites, mobile apps, SaaS products, and the IT infrastructure behind them, for clients across British Columbia and beyond. Being a small, focused team means fewer handoffs: the person scoping your project is the person building it.
We favour straightforward, maintainable software over unnecessary complexity — systems built to be handed off, extended, and understood by whoever works on them next.
Who's building it
Gurjinder Johal, founder
Gurjinder holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Northern British Columbia, plus continuing coursework in machine learning and cybersecurity. He's spent his career as a hands-on developer — as a SharePoint developer at InfoUSA and at Take Care Health (later acquired by Walgreens), and for over a decade running the software behind a Panago Pizza franchise, where he built a customer-retention model, automated financial and inventory reporting, and a .NET invoice generator still used to bill customers today.
The stack is .NET, C#, Python, and React. Sites get built in React specifically because they load fast and stay fast as they grow — not because it's trendy. AI tools are part of the workflow the same way Git or Visual Studio is: used to move faster, never to hide what's actually being built. Every part of a project — the code, the architecture, the reasoning behind a decision — can be walked through and explained on request.
